DiRTY RADiO is a Vancouver B.C based musical trio made up of Farshad aka “Shaddy”, Anthony “Tonez” Dolhai, and Zachary Forbes.

Each member grew up with different musical influences and collectively draw from the diverse sounds of Michael Jackson, Daft Punk, Steely Dan, Prince, Nine Inch Nails, N.E.R.D, Nirvana and many more.

Originally created as a passion project by the trio’s production team “The Heratix”. DiRTY RADiO initially focused on Shaddy as a solo artist, but quickly evolved.  Their first independent release came in the form of the 10 song LP titled “Debut”, which was released in 2010. The album caught the attention of Canadian radio and enjoyed success with the singles “My <3” and “Wanna Ride”.

The following year, the trio released the popular online single “Ground Shake” and began to focus on live shows while incorporating more personal experiences into song writing. It then became clear that DiRTY RADiO was in fact more a band than anything else.  This was cemented on the group’s 2012 release “Cassette”.

“Cassette was us three trying to establish a new sound that served as a hybrid between organic instruments and cutting edge synthesis and programming”, says Zachary Forbes. “Lyrically, it was us writing as honestly as possible”.

Where as “Debut” established DiRTY RADiO as a pop force to be reckoned with, and Cassette saw them pushing new sonic limits, 2013 marks the release of the three part EP series titled LiCK.

“Conceptually, the LiCK TRiLOGY is exciting for us because it constantly keeps us on our toes as songwriters, performers, and producers,” remarks Anthony “Tonez” Dolhai. “With each release, you’ll be listening to the freshest sounds we can create”.
